Latest developments and achievements in our research and education programs
TÜBİTAK 1001 research project closure
The TÜBİTAK 1001 project that supported a major part of my recent manufacturing-oriented research at Bahçeşehir University formally concluded in April 2026. Outcomes include completed experimental and modeling work, student involvement, and dissemination through publications and academic channels.
Ongoing research and teaching continue; new grant applications and collaborations build on the same themes: machining and hybrid processes, process modeling, and related mechatronics topics.
Midrise MVP launch
Midrise, a product focused on mental and physical well-being for menopausal and perimenopausal users, reached a live minimum viable product in March 2026. Development drew on product, data, and software practice alongside my academic role.
This site remains centered on university work and consulting; more detail on the MVP and roadmap appears here for context.
Angel investor outreach
Conversations with prospective angel investors to support Midrise after the MVP release began in January 2026. Academic pages on dulutan.com are unchanged in purpose: teaching, research, and professional consulting.
For collaboration strictly in manufacturing, robotics, or related engineering consulting, please use the contact section.
Recent publications (2019 and later)
Publication: Theoretical modeling of intertwined tool flank wear and cutting forces in machining nickel-based alloys
This domain went live in September 2025 as a single place for research, teaching, publications, and student course access. The student panel is restricted to enrolled users; the public pages highlight academic and consulting activity.
Content and design continue to evolve as projects and roles develop.
Fantasy F1.5 (ff1dot5.com)
ff1dot5.com went live in March 2024 as a personal project: a fantasy Formula 1 game built to explore full-stack development and product design outside the laboratory.
It is not part of my formal academic portfolio but reflects ongoing interest in software craftsmanship.
Relate received TÜBİTAK 1507 funding
The Relate start-up was awarded TÜBİTAK 1507 support in June 2023, continuing applied R&D on the self-therapy product alongside academic responsibilities.
Bahçeşehir University, Mechatronics Engineering
I joined Bahçeşehir University, Mechatronics Engineering Department, where I teach manufacturing processes, mechatronics system design, robotics, and related courses while maintaining an active research program.
The TÜBİTAK 1001 grant and collaborative ties with industry and other universities are central to this period.
Relate app went live
The Relate application reached a public, live release in September 2021 under start-up operations led as CEO/CTO — separate from university research pages but part of the same applied-ML learning arc.
Relate received TÜBİTAK 1512 (BIGG) funding
TÜBİTAK 1512 BIGG funding for Relate was granted in November 2020, supporting early machine-learning and product development for the self-therapy platform.
Joined Kadir Has University, Mechatronics Engineering
I joined Kadir Has University, Mechatronics Engineering Department in May 2019, with a broad teaching portfolio spanning manufacturing, robotics, numerical methods, and foundational engineering courses.
